CCRyouth action gathering!

Dear members of Project 10,

I’m writing to invite you to participate in the very FIRST National Canadian Council for Refugees (CCR) Youth Action Gathering, which will be happening in Montreal from 31 August to 2 September 2012 on the theme of “Engaging Newcomer Youth in Participatory Media for Social Change.”

Hosted by the Maison des jeunes de Côte-des-neiges, the Gathering will bring together about 80 newcomer youth (25 and under), youth workers and allies from across Canada to take part in action-oriented workshops on a variety of newcomer youth issues, including issues faced by LGBTQ youth. It will be an important opportunity to connect with other passionate young people, share struggles and strategies, and increase the momentum that drives us to effect positive change in our communities.

The Gathering is free and all meals will be provided! We’re planning fun social activities for the evenings, and there will also be a space to just chill and hang out during the conference.

Due to limited funds, we can only accept about 80 participants, so hurry up! Learn more and APPLY at:

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Hope to see you soon!
