Safer space for LGBTQ youth

The Montreal Youth Coalition Against Homophobia (MYCAH) is looking for a space to start our Safer Space for LGBT Youth project.

Halfway between a youth centre and a skillshare, this space will be accessible and open to everyone. It is a project strongly supported by the community, that aims to address the lack of accessible, non-commercial spaces for queer youth and their allies in Montreal. But finding a cheap place to rent around the Gay Village is not an easy task!

On Sunday, March 3rd, join us for a Safe Space Search Party Party! We need you – friends, volunteers, members and partners of MYCAH – to come walk the streets of the Centre-Sud district with us, in hopes to find a space suited to our needs. Meet us at 1pm outside of Papineau metro for a mad afternoon dash in the name of sexual equality and social justice!

For more info, please contact Marie-Élaine at 514 318-LGBT (514 318-5428) or by writing to
The Safer Space project is coordonated by MYCAH in partnership with Project 10, GRIS-Montréal, the Conseil québécois LGBT and Gai Écoute. It is made possible by contributions from the Forum jeunesse de l’île de Montréal, the ministre de la Justice du Québec (Bureau de lutte contre l’homophobie), as well as the Direction de la diversité sociale de la Ville de Montréal.
