It was a busy weekend for Project 10 fundraising, and we would like to give our warmest thanks to members of the Montreal LGBTQ community and their allies and friends for showing us such amazing support. On Friday January 27th, Dawson College’s LGBTQ club ETCETERA hosted it’s biggest ever event, a free drag show that was supported with resources from the Dawson Student Union. ETCETERA generously decided to give all the proceeds from snack sales, raffle tickets, and donations accepted to Project 10, and we are so grateful for the support they and the Dawson student body showed us. Also, on Sunday January 29th the first Queers Dream movie night was hosted at the Cagibi, and it was so great to see a room filled with warmth and positivity. For the movie night special thanks go out to Megan and Natalie and their team for organizing the event, to Carole Fernandes for sharing with us her work as the first featured queer filmmaker, to Marty for giving a great introduction to the feature film, and to the Cagibi for providing the space to host. Queers Dream will happen every two months, so look out for invitations in March! All of the support you showed Project 10 this weekend will go a long way to ensuring that we can keep supporting queer and trans youth in Montreal, and that Camp this year is going to be bigger and better than ever!
Big hugs, you guys ROCK!
