Project 10 Summer Camp
A photo from summer camp 2016!
Leigh, one of our past youth board members shares their story about the impact of P10 summer camp :
“I had the chance to attend the 2016 Summer Camp, and was blown away by the creativity and passion of the youth participants. What particularly struck me was their sense ofcommunity and solidarity. Many of the participants knew each other from drop-in, and a few were encountering P10 for the first time. Each youth was made to feel welcome and safe, and included in all the activities they chose to participate in. Participants went out of their way to get to know each other, support each other, and challenge others and themselves to fully express who they were. Youth were putting on nail polish who had not felt comfortable doing so in five years. Youth were swimming in clothes they felt comfortable in. Youth were picking up a guitar for the first time and singing to the entire group. It was beautiful to be witness and share in the magic that P10 creates for these youth, who are all too often dismissed, punished, and belittled for who they are.”
How can I donate to support camp?
