story for the CBC!

From Ange-Aimée Woods at the CBC:
Hello, I am hoping to meet with LGBT teenagers and young adults who are in foster care or who have been in foster care.
A study by the American Bar Association found that it was harder to place LGBT youth in foster homes, and for those who were placed most of them reported verbal harassment and 78% of them ran away or were removed for reasons related to their sexuality.
I am interested in hearing about your experiences for a radio documentary I am producing.
I first became interested in the project after reading an article in the American Magazine, Mother Jones, called, “Why Can’t Gay Teenagers get into Foster Homes.” I’ve included the article as well as another related article.
Please email me at ange-aimee.woods@cbc.ca or call me at (514) 597-4471 if you would be interested in speaking to me about this.
