All services at Project 10 are free, confidential and anonymous, including our support services. They are open to 2LGBTQ+ youth between 14-25. Our support services include providing materials such as condoms, individual appointments where active listening is used, accompaniment to appointments, as well as referrals and resources around the Montreal area.
When you book an individual appointment with our Support Services Coordinator, you can expect a safer space where the things you want to talk about are honoured, as well as your boundaries. Appointments can vary in length, and different topics can be explored, such as: support surrounding identity, coming out, support with name and gender marker change, access to hormones and trans affirmative healthcare, and more. Sessions can also exclusively focus on referrals and resources, or combine all these things.
All conversations are non-directive and use a harm reduction approach, meaning meeting the person where they are at and at no point trying to encourage or persuade decisions - The priority is always honouring participants decisions pertaining to their own lives and holding space for all the feelings and experiences that can come from living as a young 2LGBTQIA+ person.
At the moment all individual services are offered in person, online, or by phone. The coordinator will have the camera on (if an online call) and you are welcome to have yours off and to do what makes you comfortable in the space you’re joining from.
