Full Circle

Open to all QTBIPOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) ages 14-25, FULL CIRCLE aims to create spaces where trans and queer youth of color can learn new skill sets, develop their interests, meet friends and have fun. In hopes of meeting the needs of the most diverse group possible, the program will include a balance of skillsharing and socialization activities. The structure will be determined following the input of the youth and the events coordinator.

The end goal of the program is in its name: Full Circle. We don’t expect the participants to see the program as having a finality, but through the lense of fostering skills and ideas that they’ll be able to integrate in their personal and professional lives, hobbies, or by giving back to the program by sharing their own skills or the ones they’ve learned.

This program is offered thanks to the Government of Canada through the Public Health Alliance of Canada and Canadian Heritage departments, as well as Fondation Beati.

Teen Group

We host a drop in for 2LGBTQ+ and questioning teens between the ages of 14-17 every Tuesday from 5-6pm.

The teen drop-in is a semi-structured group facilitated by staff, volunteers, and interns. We set aside time for teens to catch up, socialize and get comfortable. Sometimes drop-ins include activities, discussions, and workshops depending on the suggestions and needs of teens who attend the drop in!

Our Teen Drop-ins are for teens looking to connect with peers, make art, and navigate discussion topics around gender, sexuality, relationships, consent, and boundaries in a safer space free of judgement or pressure to participate.

Transitioning Care Drop-In

We host a drop in for 2LGBTQ+ and questioning youth who are transitioning out of care facilities, such as:

  • foster homes
  • group homes
  • youth rehabilitation centres
  • mental health institutions
  • addiction clinics
  • juvenile detention centres

This space is open to young adults between the ages of 18-25 every Monday from 5-6pm.

The goal of the Transitioning Care drop-in is to address the barriers and interests of youth 18-25 transitioning from the care system. The main objective of this drop-in is to provide a safe(r) space where youth can access free, confidential, non-judgmental services that reflect their specific needs.

Programming includes peer support, educational workshops, life skills development, and multiple opportunities for youth to build strong relationships with connections to a supportive community.
